We left Trinity this morning. It had rained at night and was still drizzling for most of the morning. We drove west for 7 hours including a few stops and arrived in Rocky Harbour. This town is in Gros Morne National Park and is a starting point for many activities, hiking, camping, boat excursions. sea kayaking, etc. It isn’t much of a town but it is a going concern this time of year. We settled into our B&B- no view, very plain but clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, there is no internet. I had to walk down to the craft store, pay $2.50 for unlimited use. I chose to sit out back on a lobster trap to try to upload yesterday’s photos. I made a mess of it and will redo that entry when I can.
We went out later and visited a lighthouse a little way outside of town and there was a moose just hanging out with about 20 people watching him and taking photos. I’ve included just a few (Is that Moosehead beer that Tom was drinking?). It was fun to be out there at sunset. The scenery is spectacular. We spent a little time in the “downtown” booking our boat excursion to Western Brook Pond for tomorrow afternoon. In the evening we are going to see the popular show,” Anchor’s Aweigh” at a local pub. I’ll tell you all about it later!
